Outpatient Rehab – Quality Care with Convenience
By definition, physical therapy is a challenging undertaking. Depending on the patient’s specific issue or injury, it may take anywhere from several days to several weeks to reach meaningful benchmarks toward recovery. For this reason alone, such services are often administered on an inpatient basis. Inpatient therapy comes with its own challenges, including expense, inconvenience and the emotional ramifications of being away from home for an extended period of time.
That’s why we offer the more affordable convenience of Outpatient Rehab services in addition to our traditional inpatient services. In many cases, outpatient rehabilitation therapy is an excellent way to receive the benefits of physical therapy without the relative inconvenience & expense of inpatient care.
Outpatient Rehab – Is It Right For You?
Outpatient Rehab combines many of the benefits of inpatient physical rehabilitation therapy with the greater convenience of outpatient services. However, because access to a physical therapist is limited, Outpatient Rehab may be less intensive than its inpatient counterpart, and thus may not yield results as quickly as traditional inpatient rehab.
Candidates for outpatient rehab must…
- have the consent of their physician in order to take part in Outpatient Rehab.
- be healthy enough for regular travel to and from our facility.
- be able to arrange their own transportation.
- often commit themselves to “homework,” i.e. therapies or exercises that must be performed without the supervision of the therapist.
Do you think you or your loved one might be a good candidate for Outpatient Rehab? Ask us for details today!
